Trent, Sounds as though you have as little justification for the CD-ROM as I do (or don't as the may be <g>). Fred fish disks are about the only things I can think of that _really_ are useful. The rest are only things that would be inmpressive to have, but not very useful for me. As for the speakers, I've already got my Amiga plugged into my stereo system so I know what you mean about the sound! In fact you could probably answer a question here. At work I've got Macs (as well as PC's) with CD-ROM drives, and the software with them includes an audio player. Now this alone is not that amazing, however, if you type all the details of the CD you're playing into the software and choose save (you don't give it a filename), the next time you put the CD in the drive, it automatically knows which CD it is (I guess it makes a note of the number of tracks and length etc when you save and compares all stored details to that ofthe CD in the drive to find a match).
