Thanks Don I have solve the noise problem from the targa atleast to sum extent but as to how I came up with 6db we setup white probley from the switcher and then put it into both the 1800 and the 2800 then set the tbc in the 2800 so the amptude of both vtr were = then we turned the gain on the scope way up and look at the noise there was a two to one voltage ratio as i se it twise the voltage = four times the power = 6db Am I wrong ?? Ben
