Hi, Nathan– One can come at the pegmatite in Pacoima canyon from the lowlands, or by circling around, passing near the summit of Mt. Gleason and then down into the upper end of the canyon. The latter is the "back door" Rod referred to – I might also call it the scenic route. I have gone up to Mt. Gleason for stargazing on several occasions, but never made it to the zircons. –Doug
