Raman, It is quite possible to use an ECS Denise with the FlickerFixer and a NEC-3D monitor – I have that setup on my 2500. However, the flickerFixer DOES NOT support the new screen modes – you'll have to run a cable from the Amiga's RGB port to the NEC-3D when you use those modes (I have a switchbox to switch between the flickerFixer port and the standard RGB port). This also means that the modes that you are inquiring about, since they are interlaced, _will_ flicker. My personal opinion is that it is not worth the cost of the upgrade. The 1280 x 200/400 modes are not particularly useful, except when you are doing something like video titling (where the enhanced resolution can give you smoother characters). Remember also that the ECS screen modes are more limited to the number of colors and palette range available, and also significantly degrade system performance. Productivity mode (640 x 400 non-interlaced) has some advantages for those who do a lot of text-based work and don't have a de-interlacing device such as the flickerFixer or equivalent, but that's about it. The ECS Denise basically gives us "too little and too late", at least in its current incarnation. Hope this helps…. …BobR
