Hank, pmfji–Fred's last message made me wonder: when the in-(out-)point is selected in the control panel, can you then use the L/R arrow keys to bump/move those points or is it mouse-only control? In the VT software I've found the mouse control of selections to be far too sensitive to easily make small changes in the selectors. (? do I have high acceleration set for the mouse in ADOS, I do in MSDOS.) Whenever I've programmed user inputs I've always allowed the user to use the arrow keys to incr/decr through selections, and they like it once they've tried it. Even after 10 years of using a mouse, for many selector functions I still prefer the keyboard (Tab, Enter, Arrow keys, Home, End, Page up/down). There are a couple of ergonomic issues. Even using the mouse to press incr/decr buttons can, over a long day (for myself, and others), get tiring due to the fine eye/hand control needed. For some people the keyboard is better simply for the fact that is is more crude. Viva la differance. jm2cents – dean
