Dean – We're in trouble :v)… I believe scrubbing is the process of reviewing the video on the playback screen while adjusting the in and out points. Since many editors can determine the length a certain clip must be to fit in (with the music? visual tempo?, etc), then letting the editor set the duration, and keep it constant during scrubbing would save the constant adjustments.
