Hilary,
Perhaps it will help if I walk you through a conversion using IM R/t.
I am using rev 1.06, not the latest but it shouldn't be missing too much.
First load IM R/t :^)
Press File I/O buttton on Main screen.
Press Load Image File button
Find and select the file you wish to work with. This will load the image
to the Primary frame buffer. You should see it, but IM doesn't use the
overscan parts of the screen so there will be borders. Your image should
still be the same size as before, this is just IMs display mode.
Back at Main screen, Press the Info button. Then press Primary Image
button, this will give you info on the file you loaded to the Primary
Buffer. Check the size, It should be what you expect.
Back at Main screen, Make sure the Entire Image selection button is
selected (Solid blue button in the middle of the screen).
Press the Process button. Press Filters button. Press the Low Pass button.
Leave the defaults settings that should be 50% Effect, Horizontal and
Vertical selected. Prees done button. This Effect may take a while
depending on your h/w. Done button backs you up to the Main screen.
Prees File I/O button. Press Save as 24-bit IFF/ILBM button. Name and save
the image you've just created.
Try to load the new file back into IM and check to see that the size
didn't change. This could be tricky unless you just load in over the old
Primary buffer. More on that later if you need :^)
This file should load into Montage just fine and the only difference
should be the effects of the Low Pass filter. The image should be a little
softer.
Hope this helps, Good luck, IM R/t is GREAT s/w but they always had Lowsy
docs. Usually lots of good Help here, but it seems Ben may be busy
supporting their Windows products :^( Ducking :^)
