Hilary, An additional tip or two: 1. In the File I/O panel, there is a button next to SAVE TYPE called SET SAVE SIZE. Entering that button, you can opt to maintain the current size or resize to a desired dimension. Back out from there, the Set Save Type button allows you to choose your image file formats. 2. The PRIMARY IMAGE is always the image you see. SECONDARY and BRUSH images are extra buffers added for additional images as they are loaded. When you jump from PRIMARY to SECONDARY (using the 's' key) the former SECONDARY image becomes the PRIMARY, and vice versa. As I said, the PRIMARY is ALWAYS the one you see. It took me a while to 'get' that, and once I did, many of the other philosophies behind IM's environment came into focus as well. 3. Give the online docs a chance, and spend a bit of time with the software. I use it daily, and I really love it. It's extrememly powerful, even though some of the simpler things, like image scaling, require extra steps (compared with ADPro or ImageFX). Other things like color keying and layering are handled quite nicely with IM R/T. For instance, keying a variance (not just a single RGB value) is very easy and the results are great.
