#PAR on network?

Yes, you could. NDUMP is perfect for that, and the tape would just appear as
another drive.
Actually, you could even save a step. Assuming the PAR and the tape are on the
same system, you could easily change your NDUMP batch file to first copy the
files from the network to the tape, then copy them again from the network to
the PAR, then delete them off the network.
Of course, if you didn't need to save the original Targas on tape, NDUMP or the
newer PAROUT would do the same thing.
