I think that's a very accurate statement. The hardware side of the PC platform
is such a mess, making an OS that works with every single variable must be a
nightmare. Attempting to develop one that's as fast, smooth, and effecient as
AmigaDOS would be almost futile. The PC's architecture is just too convoluted
and obsolete to really support a streamlined OS.
