If done right (fat chance on either side of the isle, I know) it will save plenty of money without denying people health care, and health care is the fastest growing part of the budget. I think at this point we can afford to have a smaller, more targetted military. The so-called readiness problems we have are, as far as I can tell, a sham generated by spreading the money there is out on too many units, divisions, battalions, etc. We no longer face a mighty enemy! Our problems could come from little guys mounting terrorist-style operations. Mr. Zombie – now 76375,1776 – Warped again?
