Hi Scott I was browsing around ASOFT forum, reading the message traffic. I've got a "high-tech" (ha!ha!) ad agency in Monterey, CA. Anyway, we use 3DS and have an inhouse video department, including sound stage, Matrox video editing, etc. We run 3DS on Pentiums and render to a Targa card, single-frame record via Animation Commander/RS422 card to a JVC822 VTR. We're pretty up on Intel machines. I've build every one of them here. They're all SCSI-based, Adaptec, etc,etc. I'd like to play with the VR stuff some. What's the story on the best rig these days? whose software? Autodesk or the Sense8 products (former Autodesk'ers). What kind of video cards should I use.
