John: The announcement I alluded to earlier was that Grass Valley Group will be OEMing the Data Translation Media 100. GVG will be selling a completely configured Media 100 (ie. CPU, hard drives, controller card, and a deck, I might imagine) presumably as part of a larger GVG system. I can't say I know more details than that, so maybe Matt Kingman (who I see here often) can fill in more of the blanks. I was suggesting earlier that this was a good example of how traditional editors and editing practices are clearly moving toward digital technology. GVG is one of the strongest names in traditional video editing and switching and if they're "doing it," then those who aren't are behind the times. 😉 Jeff
