Tim, The system which truely impressed me was demonstated by Matrox. The basic box gives a five layer post production setup with PAL, Y/C and YUV ins and outs. It controls 4 VTR's, three 2d-DVE's and the aidio associated with it. The non linear side runs a Motion-JPEG2 with Studio Xpress software. Storage is on a seagate 2.1gig Barracuda. Graphics and letters via inscriber and a seperate 1Gb drive. The whole lot operates under windows. There are further options. There were other dos NL systems at the show and I've got a shedload of pretty coloured brochures somewhere in the mess that is the only place that I can really call my own. If you're interested I'll try and summarise, but seeing the effects possible with Matrox system I just went 'wow'.. Still think though Hybrid is the safest! Bit like a cocktail always tasting better than the ingrediants alone. Mark.
