Sorry about the last response being so short. I bumped the "file it" rather
than the "send" and didn't realize it until I went to log off.
Anyway, I have now had a chance to read the thread so far and can honestly
say," Wow!", again. That was fun. Glad I only started the fire and came back
after the coals had gone out.
Regardless, I must take the time to respond to you after the wonderful
responses that you compiled for me. I did miss this whole thread before I went
ahead and ordered ER. As I mentioned in my last note, it is due any day.
Insofar as my needs, they are video based and I must have at least 24-bit true
color output. In fact, I could really use field output rather than frames as
well. This I'm not certain either program will yield. I have read many many
nice things about ER across the cserve board and feel fairly safe that I
haven't made a big blunder.
Your program, however, sounds great. The special effects area sounds
particularly interesting. It is not uncommon for those of us in this field to
find several pacakges on the hard drive that do similar things. For example, I
recently went on a photo editing software hunt and ended up with
PicturePublisher. The special masking tools are great, but I will probably buy
Photoshop as well just because there are many things that it does that nothing
else does as well.
Once again, I really appreciate the information that you sent on to me. I will
certainly pass this info on to others that I know are in my same position.
Thanks again,
Chris
