Dan,
to use the A570 as a CDTV you have to turn off your hard drive. If you want to
use it just as a CD-ROM from Workbench you have to make yourself a boot floppy
for the hard disk. The thing seems to be that a A500 can only have 1 (one)
autobooting device connected to the system bus so if you have an autoboot hard
drive and A570 installed at the same time, the A570's boot screen (the red one
I think) comes up unless you put in a bootable CD. If you switch off the A570
(volume control to extreme left, do NOT switch off the power supply) your hard
drive will autoboot again but you won't have a CD-ROM then… If you can verify
that this works for you I can give you my hd-boot-floppy's startup-sequence as
an example.
