Can't help you with the Firecracker, as I don't have one. However, the jittering in de-interlace mode: Try adjusting the de-interlacer. There is a small 10 turn potentiometer in the back of the machine next to the de-interlace switch. An alignment tool (available at Radio Schlock) or jewelers screwdriver will be necessary to get to it, as the hole is small, and the potentiometer is recessed. The adjustment tends to drift over time. (In my case the jittering happened when the machine was cold, and ceased as it warmed up, but started taking longer and longer to settle out.) As for cooling: The fan on your power supply is probably no wrose than the ones sold today. (Unless it is stopped, or rotating slowly.) If your PC slots aren't in use, look in Computer Shopper. There are PC cards sold that have two little mini fans that will circulate air in the machine. You may be able to mount it so it blows directly on your Firecracker board. Hope this helps…..
