I notice that there is nothing in this statement about the viability of any
attempt to form a new business using the liquidated technology. It looks like
current liquidation practice doesn't account for the speed with which
electronic technology changes and is therefore not responsive enough to the
rate of obselecence. It would be interesting to compare this situation with
other liquidations involving computer tech. If the government feels it's
desireable to salvage technology from corporate bankruptcy, maybe the law needs
some rework.
Personally, I'd like to shuck my Amiga ASAP. Amigas!? We don't need no
stinking Amigas!
