Hopefully we don't have a name conflict here, but at Tucson I was given a copy
of a new MINCAT to review, and it is a competitor to MINLOG. I've seen the
latter, but never used it, but from what I've seen, I would say MINCAT is very
similar to it. A review will be in the March issue of Mineral News. It was
programmed by Robert Griffis, and is distributed by Nevada Mineral & Book Co.,
PO Box 44230, Las Vegas, NV 89116, 702-453-5718, the cost is $69.99 + $5 S&H.
From what I know of MINLOG, I would say MINCAT is very similar in how it is set
up and used. It can be used for minerals, fossils, gems, or whatever.
