From what I have seen, they either do it themselves in-house (Mike wrote
the current manual himself) or they have a friend do it. I don't believe
they have ever engaged a professional technical writer to come in, learn a
product and write a proper manual. I'm not sure of all the reasons why,
but a good part of the problem is sure to be financial.
