Are you aware of problems with the USR Sportster 28.8 v. 34 and DTS? I recently
purchased 2 sportsters. I installed one in the office using an analog line and
was able to connect to various online services and use my DTS dialer. But when
I tried the sportster at home, although I could connect to on line services, I
could not dial out with the DTS dialer. I called US Robotics and they
expressed amazement that I had been able to use dialer at all. They said, this
sportster modem was specifically designed to prevent it from being used with
dialers in order to avoid accidental disruptions of data transfers. Anyone
encountered this problem? What 28.8 modems specifically work with DTS? Any
recommendations?
