I don't have any experience with Mac-in-DOS or its competitor (can't recall name right now). I've heard of problems with hard coded SCSI ID limitations and such with one or more of those products. Can these products format a Syquest for a Mac? We used AccessPC on our Macs until we connected them to our LAN. AccessPC allows the Mac to mount PC floppies and Syquests directly on the desktop. You can setup automatic Filetype/Extension mapping and AccessPC will allow the Mac to do a DOS format. It works great and the use is nearly transparent to the user.
