This depends on the situation. If the mesh file fits into memory and
no VMM is needed for the space subdivison, then more RAM will show
minor improvements as only the space subdivison might be slightly
better.
With your special situation (143k faces) you will experience a
significant increase in rendering speed with 32MB RAM, as the whole
space subdivison data is now on your hard disk during rendering. In a
highly reflective scene as yours this leads to a considerable amount
of disk accesses. It is hard to say how much the speed increase is as
it depends also on your hardware, etc.. I would estimate something
like four times.
