Kevin: <cell division> I used skin and slice with highly transparent materials. Since individual slices are so easily animated, I was able to get the quirky to fluid motion of cells doing their thing. For added wackyness, Pennello can produce some terrificly nervous motion maps of tiny things. That motion map can be placed on background, or mapped to the skinned objects. All together, the view looked a lot like looking through a microscope into a petri dish. When I did the pennello segment I assigned the background a color of the gunk they use in petri dishes, with several different lighting highlights so it appeared translucent. Then the pennello settings produced various size squiggles and shapes moving in different time lines and at different speeds (various queue entries in VPost). Jeffrey
