Monty; OK, it sounds as though your downloads are bad. Xmodem is possibly the worst possible choice for Amiga Downloads. Assuming that you do manage to successfully extract a file there is still an almost even bet that the file will be 'corrupt' (last block improperly padded). If you managed to successfully download LHA138.run then it _sounds_ as though your modem and handshaking is ok but be sure that you are set up for 8N1 when doing downloads and RTS/CTS handshaking (between modem and computer) with a 7 wire cable connecting the two. Your "Warning: Skipping…" message clearly indicates that you have Lha working correctly. You REALLY should go with a different terminal program. Something like VLT, or better still if on CIS use Autopilot. -bill
