I used to do this with FC and then FW all the time before buying a Postscript printer. To print to Postscript file in Final Writer you can choose that option off the FW print menu — it's worded just about that way. It'll bring up a file requester asking where you want to save the printout file and to what name.Then you can take the diskette with the Postscript printout file on it and run it through any other Amiga connected to a Postscript printer. If you need to go to a PC or Mac, no problem as long as you have a cross-disk utility — for exampke, CrossDOS for MS-DOS (standalone version or built in to Workbench 2.1 on up) and CrossMAC for Mac format disks. If you took the file on a MS-DOS disk to a service bureau they'd know just what to do.
