Scott, Start with the front two sockets, then every 4th socket back from those. That's bank 0, the first 8 zips. The next 8 go right behind each of those. If you can read the silkscreen on the board, it's U850-857 for bank 0 and U858-865 for bank 1. The Printing on the chips faces front, or the beveled corner faces left…. Note that if you have Dips in the DIP sockets just in front of the zip area, you need to remove them. They're 256kx4 & you can't mix sizes. Those sockets are electrically identical to bank 0 of the zips. You can put those dips in as the second meg of chip ram… You will also need to change a jumper to tell the system you're using 1m x 4 chips. J852 should be on 1-2. -Jim MOS via Autopilot & Amiga
