Have an interesting question! If (big if) I could get an ethernet card for my A2500, would software exist to allow sending printer output to an HP LJ4 printer with the HP JetDirect ethernet interface (J2552A)? The J2552A interface supports TCP/IP, DLX/LLC, and IPX/SPX protocols. I know there is TCP/IP software for the Amiga, but can it be used in this manner? Reason for doing this is to get the parallel port of the LJ4 off the Amiga so I can put it on a clone machine. Am going to network a couple of clones (Bridge Board is one of them) and want them to have access to the printer. If I use HP's software for the JetDirect interface, I can print for Windows for Workgroups, and maybe from a Window's DOS shell, but not from a DOS shell if there is no windows loaded. If I run Novell's Personal Netware, it doesn't matter if I am running windows or not, BUT HP does not supply software to use the JetDirect interface with Personal NetWare. With the printer connected to the parallel port of one of the clones, it can act as a printer server for Pesonal NetWare. But I do NOT want to loose printing from the Amiga, or put in another switch box (already going thru one). 73, Kelly
