Christian, The IBM engineers choose the Intel CPU because they had just finished a project using the Intel 8085 so they were familiar with interfacing to the Intel IO chips. They thought they had to get to market fast so they didn't want to take the extra time to learn about designing with a Motorola or Zilog CPU, either of which would have been a better CPU IMHO. Also the original IBM PC's came with 3 OS's including MossyDOS so PC users only have themselves to blame for MSDOS. // \X/ Amiga lives? Gary Bonnstetter
