PC Task
I have PC Task 3.0 running on my stock 25 meg 3000. It run about as well as
the 7 meg 286's we used to have in our office (maybe a little slower when
doing memory intensive claculations. I use it mainly for a class I teach which
uses Microsoft Works. The program works well for that, but I haven't installed
windows at all, because I know it would run dog slow. The DOS games I have
tried run too slow to be useful. If you just need to run some simple
wordprocessing and spreadsheets might be ok, but it is too slow for anything
beyond that. For about $120 it meets my needs. Maybe when the Emplant 586 gets
itself sorted out, I will get one of them. For now, I needed a cheap PC
substitute, and Task 3 is good enough.
