Paul,
I'm not sure it's a chip ram problem. I have 2 meg of chip and 8 meg of
fast in my 3000. I was inside doing some stuff with a new board and by
accident bumped one of the zip chips. When I booted up, I was suprised to see
I had no ram and only 1meg of chip ram!!?? I discovered the zip chip I had
bumped. Pulled a leg out actually. Reseating the chip and presto! All memory
back to normal. I would very carefully check the zip ram first.
