It's in perfect shape — it has a "hardware" box that contains the computer
guts, an Intel 186 chip ( the one that preceded the 286 and, so far as I know
never made it into a PC), software on a master tape, a wand to tape to your VCR
to give the infrared commands to control the VCR, and a complete user's manual.
I have the program tape in the original VHS format and have copied it into 8mm
for use with that format VCR.
As you probably know, the outfit is menu driven on your TV screen. You make
your edit decision list, marking each scene's in and out point; then you can
arrange them in any order you want, with as many source tapes as you want.
There are several fonts and graphics you can use for titling. When all is
arranged, you set it to run and come back now and then to see if it's time to
change a source tape.
It's a very good entry level editing machine. It does not read time code, so
your accuracy depends on your VCR's, and it is a "cut only" system — it won't
do A/B rolls.
