If you want to edit from Hi-8 to S-VHS why don't you save yourself some money
and forgoe the 9720 and get a Vdeck and a S-VHS recorder instead. This should
save you a considerable sum. You can edit from the Vdeck with near frame
accuracy with many inexpensive PC programs. The one I use is called EZV2. It is
ideally suited to the Vdeck and will do audio/video fades and control the xport
speed. What are you using this application for?
