> What is your hardware setup? What other software do you use along with V-Station 3300? As source decks I use Sony EVS 7000 and EVS 3000. As Record deck I use a Panasonic 1970. I also use Videonics MX-1 mixer and Videonics TitleMaker 2000. Sometimes I use a Sony color corrector (I think XVC900). The software is FutureVideo's V-Station for Windows. There is a DOS version and a Mac version. The DOS version I simply didn't get along with easily and I know nothing of the Mac version. I've use several Windows computers from a 386 33MHz to a 66 MHz Pentium and it seems to make no difference that I can see. I even loaded onto a friend's lap-top with a monochrome screen and… it runs and I could edit but it wasn't so easy for me. > Is there a way to use an IR-only controlled recording deck (S-VHS Mitsu U-82) with this controller? Brenner 73051,2024 seems sometimes to monitor the Consumer Electronics Video forum in the Camcorder and Editing section. But, I usually call and they take all the time in the world with you. If you need their number let me know. What I don't like is that the way things are now with the software you can only trigger the MX-1 and nothing else. Most of the time this is more than enough, but it would seem more elegant to be able to control many of the Videonics Mixer functions as the program controls the Panasonic Mixers. I'll bet that now that Videonics is coming out with their own editor, which may not have all the PC EDL (Edit Decision List) which is like a script of of scenes and when they are to start and stop and what kind of transitions occur between scenes and the like.
