Why?<< This sounds to me like your playback is on the computer screen. The miro is a unique product in that it is design for playback to NTSC, not the computer screen. Yes, it can play to the VGA, but performance is poor. Their energy has gone into analog output. (It's a card for low-end non-linear editing.) As far as the Fujitsu drive, as long as it is not too old it is should perform well beyond the capabilities of the rest of the system. There are ways to optimize the drive (see upcoming New Media / May95) but you might look to the other parts of the system first. BTW, this T-cal which you've heard so much about has gotten WAY overrated. It was an issue, but it has been dealt with, in different ways, by most all AV drive makers. It does remain, as I have said before, as a Poster Child for the need to optimize a drive for audio/video rather than data use. Jeff Sauer Desktop Video Group
