One other consideration. When low cost NLE comes round then one could print
to tape … any tape. If capturing in Hi8, well … it would make the most
since to print directly to the distribution medium. Where SVHS or VHS. I
would assume most would not distribute or maintain their own master copy in
Hi8 unless more audio editing were envisioned. With NLE all audio could be
added before printing to tape I believe.
