BBC with PBS, since it seem like more amd more if it's produced by the BBC PBS
has to have it. But if it's produced by ME-N-U then PBS will say NFG :-))))<
Yeah, well…sometimes, PBS *does* go overboard w/their Anglophilia…
I suppose there's a point to that, too, if you think about it–since PBS
acquisitions/productions are, in many ways, corporate-funded (Newt-on's
chest-thumping to the contrary), putting out American critiques on America is
bound to make corporate sponsors nervous–and putting out American art just
doesn't seem like "Art" to corporate sponsors (or to quote Koko in THE MIKADO,
"And the idiot who praises/With enthusiastic tone/All centuries but this/And
every country but his own" <g>).
Far better to put on British shows–even if they're controversial, *we* didn't
do 'em, we just bought 'em… :-/
