Here is some news on new products or developments that we have learned of in the past few weeks. (WE is my company, The Electronic Mailbox) 1) AVer systems will begin offering their AVerPRO overlay card with Curtain Call, an excellent titling and effects software package that works with the overlay card to provide fades, transitions and other neat tricks 2) AVer PRO will also be compatible with VideoDirector 2.0. This means if you have VD 2.0 you can add the NEW AVerPRO w/ Curtain Call and have a cpmplete DTV linear editing system with titles and effects. 3) FAST will be introducing new Movie Line products later this spring. I can't give specifics, because I don't have any myself. 4) GVP has closed their doors. We do have several boards remaining for those interested in a bargain. 5) I was told that Studio Magic is filing for bancruptcy protection from a video industry insider. 6) Video magazine has been sold to Hachette. As it looks, they are going to emphasize home theatre and move away from camcorder/ video production. 7) VidPro magazine, started by the publisher of Video magazine, was not included in the sale.
