You and I both write for magazines. I have read your
articles. You may or may not have read mine. Simply put, if you
don't agree with me, that's OK. I feel that if you don't see the
usefulness of a PAR, and I do, then we have different orientations.
No offense is made. Details are largely a subjective thing anyway. I
can't imagine not having a PAR to test my animations and show clients
the finished animatons. Exabite tapes are for scenes with 600 to
1500 frames. Post production houses in Hollywood don't like to deal
with 350 meg tapes. Very few post houses have Colorado style drives,
but most have an Abacus. My interest is in professional graphics for
the motion picture industry. Is your's the same? If so, what films
are you working on? I am working on Virtuosity, and I just finished
Batman III. I have worked on 45 motion pictures.
