Scott, I'm excited to hear that PAR is going SCSI. I am feeling a bit burnt since I called them a couple of weeks back and spoke with one of their reps asking specifically if they were going to be coming out with a SCSI version- especially since we were going to be buying a completely new computer system and wanted to buy the best stuff for it. After I got off the phone it was clear to me that I would have to purchase IDE drives (I went with the Micropolis 2217A's) in order to run the PAR board on my system. And now this information comes out. I wish I had gotten a name from the rep who fed me the bad info. You'd think employees within a company would be aware of a product coming out so soon. Well, maybe a good side effect will be that the IDE version of the PAR will come down in price once the SCSI version becomes the new flagship of the company.
