I don't know what "people" are doing. I am using the same copy of pc-dos that came with my pc-at at the office. In general sticking with the rule to treat my copies "like a book"—that is that there is no possibility that two copies of the same piece of original software can be used simultaneously on two pieces of equipment. This may or may not be in accordance with the license that comes with pc-dos. It is exactly in accordance with the license that applies to the other software I've been using—Enable and Lettrix. I admit that I have used a copy of ms-dos which came to me on a disk full of data generated on a co-workers Compaq, and probably I shouldn't have done that, but it as only an experiment and I don't really feel guilty. I certainly hope "people" have been interpreting reccommendations to "get" this piece or "use" that piece of software as recommendations to buy or otherwise acquire them legitimately. I haven't seen any discussions here on pirating software—the methods to do it etc. Dick Darling
