I'd agree that the low level Exec functions are pretty well thought out, and
proably the Exec is robust enough to avoid most problems of timing. I'm not
so sure about Intuition, which locks windows in some time critical
situations, or about AmigaDOS. But, if you are taking over the machine the
Exec proably won't Zap you if you disable interrupts for a while.
