1Meg Internal Card

Picked up Michigan Softwares's 1Meg Internal Card with 10year battery. Not bad.
Installation is not for the 'hardware weary" though. The board fits neatly into
the Amiga and is Auto-Config (C00000-Cfffff) with outsided expansion units. (I
have a Microbotics 2meg 'Starboard' and it is nice when WB comes up with
3.5meg). The price is $345.00 retail and $245.00 to dealers. The Board comes
with software and than enables users to "switch-out" all expanded memory
(except the 256k expansion) for use with DPaint etc…with the click of a mouse
button you can "re-enable" all of the expanded memory (nice touch). Also, the
warrenty card comes with the serial number already written in and is stamped!
It took 1 week to get ours (We ordered 4) and UPS was pre-paid by the company.
The software that sets the internal clock is nice too. You can add it to your
startup-sequence and basically forget about…until say the fall when you need
to "fall back" thats all you type… and it will fall back 1 hour (or spring
ahead depending). All in all the board is great. Installation is a snap if you
are inclined to do those sort of things. (see Amazing Computing Vol.2 Number 3
page 22 for the advert.)
