Well, the only way I could get Shade output to the HP was via Zsoft Paint Brush. Using Freeze I captured an EGA screen. Not quite postscript quality. However to get it into Ventura The following is a tested method (with the help of the Training Dept.) to get .PS files from Ashade into Ventura. 1. Configure Ashade for PS output device. 2. Produce a file with extension .PS 3. Exit Ashade. 4. Edit the .PS file. 5. Change line 1 to: %!PS-Adobe-2.0 EPSF-1.2 6. A line containing the Bounding Box information is found near the end of the file. %%BoundingBox: llx lly urx ury where llx lly urx ury are the bounding box coordinates. 7. Insert this line plus the end comments line shown below %%EndComments between lines 1 and 2. 8. Delete the line containing the Bounding Box information found near the end of the file. 9. The first three lines should now be %!PS-Adobe-2.0 EPSF-1.2 %%BoundingBox llx lly urx ury %%EndComments 10. Rename the file to have the extension .EPS 11. When this file is brought into Ventura it will appear as a X. When printed out on a PS printer it will print a shaded file. Thanks to Kieran McKeogh of Autodesk Product Support for this information. Note this is still postscript and will not work on the HP laserjet. I offer this in the event you wish to take your files out to a service to have them printed.
