I've found that the beeping is usually silenced by using the
relatively awkward combination of:
a) Saving the drawing before starting the sketch command.
b) Starting the sketch command, and sketching only til the first
beep…….<btw…it helps to have the record increment set just
right>……
c) At the first beep, or hopefully at the end of a sketched line,
eXit the sketch command.
d) Save the drawing.
e) Start the sketch command again, if necessary and repeat steps b-d
until done……….
Keeps the noise level to a relative minimum, so you will have less of
the peering eyes.
And, you've got me as to why this process works. Considering that one
always seems to have a bad case of the BEEPS anytime you restart the sketch
command before saving the drawing……no matter what the length of the
previous sketch line was.
