Ross, Ah…now I see what you problem is. The PRINT AS item tells notepad how to print the document WHEN you select PRINT from the menu. PRINT AS only sets the computer up to do a graphic dump, or a text dump…but does not actualy start the printing. The graphic dump option does just that…a graphic dump so you get the text as it appears on the screen (or close to it)…the draft option gets you text as just plain old text and is about 100 times faster than a graphic dump…that's why it's used for 'draft'. Do this, pop up NotePad and type in a few lines. Now go to the menu and select PRINT AS DRAFT and then PRINT. When that's done, go back to the menu and select PRINT AS GRAPHIC and then PRINT. You'll see what I mean. Don
