Dear Mark (Practical Solutions, etc. etc) I would like to raise my battered and bleeding hand to offer a few suggestions for the NTSC Encoder. I bought two A2000's for installation in offices before I found out that not only didn't the stupid things have NTSC output, all the suppliers either didn't have marketable models or recalled them. It would be just terribly nice if the encoder was a board that fit in one of the expansion slots. One of the A2000's is in an office that doesn't have enough room to change your mind in. External boxes are nice but they take up room. I too, am a techie and would REALLY like to have controls over Sync level, lum level, chroma level, burst level and phase, Either I or Q level , and Quadriture. I clipped the resistor out of the encoder in the A1000 and the output was painfully close to broadcast accurate. All I needed was a few more knobs………. Thanks for letting me rave. Sometimes it helps.
