Not even hard-shelled 3.5" disks are immune to the USPS. Someone mailed me a
disk a while back in a plain envelope and it arrived in unusable condition.
It looked like when it went through the sorting machine the shutter was
pushed open and the sorter put "teeth" marks in the disk. So folks, if
you're mailing disks don't let the hard shell lull you into complacency. You
_still_ have to put them in good cardboard mailers!
