I, um, well, I _like_ Word. I _was_ an RSG4 fan for awhile, jumped on the
Xpress bandwagon for a very short while, and am now in love, once again, with
PageMaker 3.0. But I'll _never_ abandon Word. The unspoken truth in your
message is, I think, that it's the effort put into the mastering of a new
program that proves costly. I'm at the point now where I simply don't have
the resources to spend that amount of time and effort (case in point – after
my initial gee whiz at FreeHand, I went through the manual, picked out the
bits that I needed, and haven't picked the manuals up again. There's probably
a lot more to FreeHand than I see when I crank it up, but my frustration
factor and time/effort factors maxed out early on, so it will probably be a
dust gatherer…).
