Lansing is correct, lisp is telling you it is missing one right paren. But that can also happen if you forget to put in the second " quote. Example (load "chgtext) — will give you 1> — but you will have to type ") to exit back to the Command: prompt. — lisp will then give you an error message. — AND (load "foobar") — might give you 3> — this means 3 parens are missing and that could be a combo of missing — " quotes and ) right parens. If you type a ) and the number goes to 2> — you are on the right track. You need not reboot at all. Jamie
